A Second Entry - Stitched Earth Pigments

This piece was also in the Waimarino Exhibition. It features dark and brown earth pigments painted onto a linen substrate with some textured threads under the linen acting as a resist. Once dry certain areas were picked put with stitching to emphasize the strata like nature of the piece.
