Arasima Taiwanesis
Arasema Taiwanwed is often grown for its unusual flower that appears like a snake coming up froom the base. For me it is the wonder of the huge foliage that makes it special. A single leaf stand is much larger than a dinner plate and they enjoy the shade of my mature garden. You can see them here feigning over my wondrous hostas, another favourite of mine. The birds love the sees and so they get naturally transplanted to other parts of the garden but they are not invasing. The texture in the leaves makes them a candidate for some of my art printing - if I can bring myself to cut off the head.
