Always Questioning - always learning

As part of Sally Tyrie's print making methods we were asked to print on acetate, cut up, rearange and use a citrus based cleaner to transfer print the image. I have tried this method of transfer print previously and not been successful so I was keen to find out what I was doing wrong. The ink would not dry and the photo above is after several days where the patterns on the transparency have been smudged but still quite attractive. Turns out you have to use a different type of ohp transparent material for inkjet or lasers and I have laser transparencies. someone also suggest the use of velum for this process. I am going to Hamilton - a bigger centre - later in the week so I will try and get the right transparencies and some oil based ink for the photo lithography part of the course
