A Shell Scape

Anyone who has been following my blog for a while will know I am a member of textile.org Stitchclub. They provide 2 online workshops each month with a textile artist (usually handstitched) I have been distracted too much lately to do many of the workshops but this fortnight the workshop was with Bethany Duffy and using a partially broken shell to emulate water pouring out of the centre. It is all long and short stitch so the colours blend rather than creating a stripe and if you look carefully you will see I have added some tiny crystal seed beads along the bottom to emulate wave foam. It was a fun exercise and I might make some more of these once I catch up on my course work
