Playday in the Studio

Rob was watching a YouTube wood turning thing this afternoon and I was wanting to prepare some mark making materials for Shelley Rhodes Fragmentation and Repair online course. I also wanted to try out this idea which was on the Geliplate site. I used an oval yoghurt container lid and cut out shapes in printer paper. Then I joined several pieces of A5 water colour paper together to make an accordion style journal. I placed the cutout ovals on each page using low tack builders tape and then I had fun. Using a limited palette, I stamped with some textural stamps and some found objects. This could be used for any type of inclusion but I intend to make some strong textural marks in the ovals. Shelley recommends doing this in the environment but it is cold here and winter soI will probably work from photographs
