The Joy of New Techniques

I had seen the effects of using aging patinas on metal but not actually used them myself so I was winging it a bit here. I painted the liver of Sulphur on with an old paintbrush. It was sort of clear and not what I had expected. Of course it always helps to read the instructions on the bottle. I realised I was supposed to mix the Liver of Sulphur with water. So I painted over where I had put the Liver of sulphur with water. The reaction was pretty quick. Now my embossing is under the black media. Now to let it dry and then rub off with steel wool to get the aged patina look. I understand you can then paint over the result with alcohol ink but I am just looking for the aged effect
