A Page from the Jude Kingshott Challenge
This challenge was to work small and use a semi sheer fabric to make a little book. I chose to use cotton lawn which was really too soft for the process so I have added a narrow lace border to the vertical edges and am now busy blanket stitching tiny see beads along the horizontal borders. This has give a bit of structure to the signatures and tidied the edges. I still have a problem with rough torn edges it seems. The hydrangeas flowers are stitched between 2 layers of organza and then the surplus organza is trimmed away before they are stitched onto the background. I chose to use the hydrangeas instead of applique and embroidery.
