Kombucha

It has taken me several weeks to grow a scoby (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) to try making my own kombucha. A friend gave me some they had made and I enjoyed it so decided to take a bit to make the culture and googled up how to generate a scoby from that. It took about 4-5 weeks before the scoby was stable enough to be able to use. It looks a bit gross but now I have it acting as the fermenting agent in the weak tea solution so in a couple of weeks I should be enjoying my own kombucha. Fingers crossed
