Extending a Grid pattern without marking
I have joined the 12 x 12 panels of teabag and ephemera into 2 x four panels and now I am ready to quilt them. I am not patient enough to mark all the lines and this is my way out. The pattern on this one is a sashiko grid pattern. I have drawn it onto some baking paper and pinned it in the middle of the joined squares and now I am using a wide bias bar to extend the lines out to the edges and machine along side without having to draw them. The only problem will be having to pick all the paper out of the sewn squares in the middle. I am stitching this with feed dogs up which is also different for me.
