My Painted Fabric Finished
So here is the painted bunny image. One of the techniques learnt was to put tiny dots of paint from one end of the colour mix being used to the other. These need to be spaced out across the palette being used - in this case an old plate. Then with a bit of extender gradually mix the colours so you have a graduated colour palette. It only takes a small amount of fabric paint to do this but the blending in the picture is so much better. I am going to do a bit of textural free machine embroidery on this and then make the picture into a cot quilt for the next baby in the family. I will talk more about the fine detail drawing tomorrow as this was a revelation in working to me. Not so sure if i will do heaps of fabric painting but it is all fun techniques to try.
