Playing with resists

When I was a child we often didn't have glue so we would mix up flour and water and use that as a paste to stick pictures into a scrapbook. This process reminded me of that. We did do flour and paste resist at Jane Dunnewold's Christchurch symposium class but it is always difficult in a class because you have to wait for the resist like this to dry and that can take 24 hours or more depending on the weather. Anyway for quite some time I have wanted to play around with resists for background texture so I decided I would have a go. Here is my flour and water paste in the mixing. Nothing else in there so quite an inexpensive option to play with
