Far From stunning REsults

Five minutes in the microwave and the bundle was almost too hot to hold. The wool blanket had certainly done ist steaming part as there was that particular smell of wet woollens. The bundle looked really promising as the paper towel had increased in colour intensity but when I unwrapped it the results were less than spectacular. There were some "blobs" of lac colour and the liquid amber leaves had printed in pale lemon on the white ground but it wasn't anything that I could get too excited about. I had expected the liquid amber leaves to give yellow because of the high tannin content at this time of year rather than the Autumnal browns a ambers later in the season. I had hoped the lac would have provided an orange halo to the leaves from colour theory of yellow and red giving orange. The leaf shapes are quite defined but muted in their colour transfer
