A Favourite corner of the garden

I always find this time of year so exciting in the garden as the plants that have gone underground pop up and the leaves on the trees return. This is a corner by the hosta beds with maple trees in full glorious colour - These leaves stay this colour all seasson through. The bronze herons were purchased in Indonesia many years ago but always add a lovely touch. The hellebores in the foreground add interest over the winter when the hostas are underground but they do try to take over even though I try to dead head them to control the amount of seedlings that appear. The garden is a lot of work at this time of year which takes time from other creative endeavours but the beauty and inspiration it brings is worth it.
