The fifth and final panel

This last panel was another one on stainless steel mesh with textured yarn and some course net. Years ago I had tried bobbin work - Alysn called it cabling and it had been a disaster. I know now i did not have the bottom tension nearly loose enough. Having tried this in the samples before we started on the vessel I decided to incorporate this in the last panel and I was really pleased with how it turned out. The thread is a cotton and sparkle plied thread a bit thicker than pearl thread and for consistency I have used the koru theme again. You can see in this panel the edging I have stitched by machine around each panel. This was a flat textured yarn. Because I wanted to use the bare copper panel that I heated I needed to have a means of stitching the panels together and this seemed a good way
