Understanding lutradur at Last

I had seen lutradur used in many textile books but was unsure what it was and how it was used. Here is my piece of lutradur painted with silk paints and at the top you can see I have cut it into long narrow isosciles triangles and pinned it to a cut out shape of stainless steel mesh. This is one panel of my vessel. Lutradur can be gently heated with a heat tool and it goes all wavy and wrinkly. I used a lighter piece of lutradur in this example and heated it too much so there were big gaps on my mesh which I just covered by stitching textured yarns between the lutradur. In the photo you can see wash away stabiliser under the pinned lutradur. this is just to protect the machine bed from being scratched by the mesh
