Autumn Cottonus prints

With some of the work from Kathy hays class I have started to use a much stronger iron blanket. I am still unsure if I like the results. The prints are crisp but the natural leaf colours start to get overwhelmed. This is a long skinny piece of mordanted cotton with cottonus leaves - they print so differently to their bright blue hues on spring. I will use these with stitch in my eco art quilt which is coming along nicely. I am trying to keep the colours integrated sort of. many of the colours are honey colours but in places they move into this grey/bule of the iron blanket inference
