Autumn Hydrangeas

The hydrangeas go papery at this time of the year and the heads dry out and are wonderful for various types of art work. I am delighted this year to have one that goes really red in the Autumn and I am looking forward to stitching on the flowers between organza and then using that in my quilt work. This is the first year this one has had such blooms as it was a cutting I got from my sister which makes it extra special. The other head is off the big pale blue hydrangea and they always go a myriad of pretty colours at this time of year. The flower heads have been much smaller this year because of the very dry summer but there are still heaps for me to choose from
