I haven't used any other sort of blanket other than an iron blanket before but one of the Indonesian ladies in a Facebook group I subscribe top had used an indigo blanket - not quite ready to try an indigo vat yet though I have all the requirements. So this afternoon I went out and selected a range of fresh leaves and a couple of roses - oak leaves, maple, purple cottoneaster, l;iquid amber, rose leaves, acacia and some tiny leaves off my new verbena that has very stiated veins and I am hoping will do great things
I havent used anything other than an iron blanket before but one of the Indonesian ladies in a Facebook page I subscribe to used an indigo blanket . I have all the stuff to make an indigo vat but I'm not quite ready for that yet so I went out and gathered a heap of spring growth - oak leaves, maple, roses, purple cotton easter, acaia, liquid amber, silver dollar eucalyptus, rose leaves and some little leaves off my new verbena which has very striated veins on the underside and I am hoping will do great things. I use paper towel dipped in Lac for the blanket and then bundled in the usual way. Now it will steam for two hours. Results tomorrow.
