Catch up Time and the NZ Hoffman Challenge 2018

The Hoffman Challenge (NZ) is to create a piece of work that has three layers and fits within a metre square. It cannot be square or rectangular. The fabric is often chosen as one that presetns some considerations for the maker. This year the fabric was a beautiful sea print challenge. The work must include a significant amount of this fabric. My work was displayed with the travelling Hoffman collection but I did not win. I went up to the Hamilton Quilt and Craft Fair where the first viewing was held - mainly to see if my quilt looked like it should be in the collection. I was moderately pleased with how it presented even though not in the award category. The biggest challenge with this quilt was not to get pulled into the beauty of the panel as it is.
