Overdone or interesting complexity - you decide
Here's another gelli print then overstamped with a big flower motif. Someone told me I had over worked this piece but I really like it. I started with plain white cotton. There was a range of circle shapes in lime and aqua (the shape made from a potato cut out) and printed off the geli plate. Then I twisted cord around a cardboard tube and used purple fabric dye to roll over the base. Finally I used a foamy stamp over the top of the coloured bit and viola. I think it draws the eye into the fabric rather than just seeing one layer/level. This is what i call complex cloth.
