Here is the results of my latest procion Tray dying. The soda Aash soaked fabric is laid lengthwise in a tray and then liquid procion dye is systematically squeezed from a (sauce) bottle across the fabric. It is left to batch for a minimum of 3 hours before being washed until no dye residue stains the water. In this case I used black, turquoise, magenta and golden yellow. As the wet fabric accepts the dye interesting secondary colours and shapes appear where the dye particles mingle so you get reds, greens and some purples. I have applied the dye in stripes but the dye could be applied randomly for a less structured look. I might have to try that one too.
