Fragments Expanded 1

And here is the final version of my bee fragments from last year's fragments stitching. Some of them look a bit more like wasps than bees but now the three of them are stippled onto a background fabric with some batting they are ready to hang on the wall. It was an interesting adventure using single thread floss, a few beads and buttons and very limited embroidery stitches. These scraps began with a set of Indian wood block stamps that I purchased from Colouricious in the UK - just an experiment in trying to get the best impressions on fabric really and then the stitching developed from there. When I decided I quite like the result, the scraps were really too small to do much with so I had to think about it for a while before coming up with this decision
